Pressed Hall Colester, Essex Wedding: Emma & Neil

IF YOU’RE PLANNING A WEDDING AT PRESTED HALL IN ESSEX, YOU’LL SEE HOW BEAUTIFUL A COVID-SAFE MIRCO-WEDDING CAN BE!

Neil and Emma got married at Prested Hall, which is a venue in Essex with lovely grounds, a lake (you may even be blessed with the visiting swan) and wonderful country views. It was such a fun wedding and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!

The ceremony

The ceremony was an intimate affair in a special room of the venue. During the ceremony they had a beautiful reading. It was such a personal service.  I loved that Derek their little lovely dog was part of their day.  The little sausage dog almost stole the show with a suit to match the Cadbury Purple wedding colours.

They decorated the area with a ballon arch, which I loved. The reception was in a private room at Prested Hall.  Weddings at Prested Hall are amazing, because the building is full of character with period features steeped in history. This means the venue has so many great opportunities for epic portraits.

Why Prested Hall is a great place to get married

Prested Hall has a really vibrant atmosphere, and is one of the loveliest places to get married in Essex. The venue offers an onsite hotel so guests don’t have to travel home – and there are so many beautiful spots that are perfect for photos.

After the ceremony

The couple had a drinks reception in the afternoon, and an intimate family dinner in the evening. Not many covid weddings took place.  But Neil and Emma main mission was simple, and that is to get married no matter what! Rules and Regulations were embraced and it was a safe event which didn’t feel like a covid day at all.  Well done to the planning team to make this happen! For dinner they had proper wedding grub, and the first dance was a romantic slow dance. They finished off the evening with with their nearest and dearest wishing them well and all had clearly enjoyed the day.

The Couple

Neil looked a million dollars in his navy check suit while Emma wore a stunning classic white dress.  They looked really incredible. The button detail on Emma’s dress matched perfectly to her head piece, which clipped into her amazing hair do!

The couple got in touch with me on their way back from booking their venue, and their enquiry was so fun. They said they wanted a photographer who would be like a guest, and I loved that they were so relaxed and laid back. At every wedding I blend in as a guest (with a couple nice cameras) and I help and chat to everyone.  When I’m with the wedding party, I’m like another one of them!  I calm the nerves, enjoy the banter, help with errands and take some beautiful photos of those moments as they happen.
